The full-size pickup market is a notoriously competitive field, so a truck must perform with exceptional gusto if it wants to stand out. American drivers take their pickups very seriously, and GMC’s Sierra 1500 consistently delivers on demands and exceeds expectations.
Endowed with a powerful engine and durable body, the Sierra 1500 is well prepared for serious hauling, towing, and off-road romping. While it excels on rough and wild terrain, the Sierra 1500 is well behaved in town and on the highway. Despite its large frame, the truck handles impressively well and can shrug off any bumps in the road. If you’re on the hunt for a sturdy work truck or a practical ride that can rise to any unexpected challenges, we’re sure to have what you need at Lee Buick GMC. We’re here to help drivers across Milton, Fort Walton Beach, and Panama City Beach find exactly what they’re looking for. When you’re ready for a test drive, come by our dealership to experience the power and precision of the Sierra 1500.
Since the GMC Sierra 1500 was redesigned in 2019, it doesn’t bring too many new features to the 2020 model. However, you still receive the same great features you’re used to. On top of that, the 2020 model does add a new 3.0-liter turbodiesel engine for the year. You can have the Sierra 1500 in five separate trim levels: base, SLE, Elevation, SLT, AT4, and Denali. The interior is filled to the brim with comfort and technology features. The spacious interior also gives you and your passengers lots of headroom and legroom.
Some of the technology features you’ll love include an 8-inch touchscreen, keyless entry and ignition, wireless smartphone charging, Apple CarPlayTM, USB connectivity, Bluetooth®*, Android AutoTM, and much more. As for comfort, you receive leather upholstery, heated seats, power-adjustable seats, and other features to make your journey pleasant. Safety is also important and the Sierra gets you parking sensors, lane keeping assist, automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, and other driver safety aids.
In 1962, General Motors premiered the truck that would one day become the Sierra. It came in two body types referred to as “Wideside” and “Fenderside.” The company produced a more contemporary design five years later, and so began the decades-long development of the modern Sierra. In 1999, the Sierra 1500 was redesigned to take the place of General Motors’ C/K trucks, rolling out with regular cab and extended cab models. In 2005, it released with a crew cab. Now the Sierra 1500 is recognized as a versatile towing vehicle with quality features, and holds its own in today’s competitive pickup market.
